I was sleeved wed, 9/14/16. I did fine in the hospital, but now it seems like every sip I try to take hits my stomach and explodes. No matter how small or big the sip, it hurts when it hits the stomach. I'm guessing it's gas pain?

walk, walk, walk, walk...IT helps! the more I walked the better the sipping.. I used a 10ml medicine cup for the first couple of days, the gas pains will probably go away soon, mine lasted only a couple of days after surgery.

Temperature mattered in the beginning for me...only room temp Water felt 'ok' in my stomach for about a month. Try warm, cold, etc.

Walking and cold Water helped me first 5 days were hell day 6 got easier

I walked 20 minutes every house, I am 2 weeks out. Didn't have gas pains and now can drink 80 ounces of Water a day, no problem. ( still can't poop though)
