@@roostersrm To make my Soups I usually blend (food processor) onion, carrots, celery (and sometimes other veggies depending on what Soup I'm making) and saute with a little butter, add salt, pepper, garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, minced onion, and paprika (whatever spices you like). I then add boxed/canned broth (chicken, beef, vegetable) and simmer for quite a while (adding more spices if necessary). Usually there's no chunks but you could strain it if there were. You could also make an onion soup and strain it for the broth.

It's high in sodium but for a change you could use the broth packets from top ramen. Add unflavored protein powder to boost it's nutrition value.

I put some frozen veggies and small pieces of beef with beef broth into the crockpot and turned to it on. My preoperative diet allows a hearty broth based soup. The dietician suggested doing it that way. I am not blending the veggies or meats, now I am worried seeing these post that I need to blend the soup.
