Does anyone have this insurance? What was your experience? I had my first consultation today and the nurse practitioner told me that I have to see a nutritionist for six months,get a psych evalve and get blood work done. I thought there wasn't a supervised meal plan requirement anymore?

She also said that they don't cover gastric bypass only gastric sleeve and lapband....again, I thought all 3 were covered.?

I called bcbs to find out and they were clueless!

@@MelaninMonroe Every plan with BCBS is different. If you called BCBS and they couldn't tell you what your coverage is, keep calling until you get someone who isn't lazy and can tell you what your coverage is.

What is your BMI?

My bmi is 42. Yeah I'm going to call bsbs again.
