I had a check-up with my PCP today. What is awesome is that I no longer dread getting on the scale and no longer get the "you need to lose weight" lecture. My PCP is thrilled with my progress!

I know......it really never bothers me to go to the doctor any more. I look forward to the stupid scale. It makes me proud that I will never look at a 3 before my weight again!

Congratulations! You have done so well and have been such an inspiration to others on this site.

@@Inner Surfer Girl,

I can absolutely relate. I spent a few years refusing to be weighed (once I found out I didn't have to comply). I always said " I weigh every day, if the Doctor wants to know I will tell her". Had some nasty smirks from some of the MA's. Now I don't care if I have to get on the scale, and my Primary Doc thinks I am doing great. This is one of the blessings of WLS in my opinion.

What a change. Congrats surfer girl!

I also would choose "not to weigh" at the Drs . Now, I'm curious what the official scale says. It does not have the power to ruin my day and I really appreciate that change.

Congrats on your joyful journey!

I know that feeling about weighing in at the MD's office. Last week when I went to my plastic surgeon's office for a post op visit, the nurse forgot to weigh me. I was soooo disappointed that I stopped by the scale and reminded him to weigh me!!!! That would have NEVER happened pre WLS.

Wonderful feeling! You're absolutely correct, Friend!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
