For the last few years I have made the trek back home to visit my family. Last summer I was an emotional and physical mess. I looked horrible, felt horrible and really didn't want to go because I was so ashamed of the way I was. This summer, almost five months out from my surgery (febuary 8) and about 75 pounds down, I made the trip. While I was there I lost more and even rode bumper cars and go karts. I wouldn't have fit in either one last year. My dad just kept saying that I could do so much more than I did last year. He's right, I can. As I close in on my first hundred pounds gone and I get back into the swing of things on the homefront, I keep thinking about the evolving me...I really am doing it and I'm going to whatever it takes to get to my goal of 140 (started this at 344). Current weight is 253!
