Does anyone know what the insurance company will be looking at? Will they be looking at the STARTING weight & LAST weight? or will they look at every single visit with the nutritionist? Reason I ask is because I went up & down in these last 6 months and I really have tried really hard! As of now, I'm only 7 pounds down with ONE MORE nutrition visit in December. Curious if the insurance will only look at my final weight, or all of my progress notes! SCARED SHITLESS!!!!

My understanding is that it depends on your insurance.. theres one in particular that wont tolerate a gain at all. ( Like donot pass go donot collect $200 dollars lol) Others look at your starting and ending weight.. taking in consideration that we have hormonal fluctuations etc. but you CANNOT go over your starting weight AT ALL.

Im new to all this i havent gone to the seminar yet its dec 10 im on medi-cal and im wondering what is the 6 month diet that all you have had to do. Is that to see if you loose weight first?

my dietician basically put me on a lowcarb high Protein diet. and recommended premier Protein shakes.

Is that to see if you loose weight before surgery?

so they set a goal for me to lose a certain amount of weight before surgery and the nutritionist helps you stay on track by telling u a little bit of what's good and not good for you to eat during this time . she also gives u tips on things to start trying (like sipping Water, smaller portions, etc). from my understanding.. you need to try your damn hardest to lose the weight they set for you . or atleast not GAIN ANY. when do you see your nutritionist? have u had the consult yet?

No... Im just so excited that ive been living on the internet day and night searching for anything on rny. I go to the seminar on the 10th and then after that they said they would schedule me. I way 249 bmi 42 and im just wondering if everyone does the 6 month diet thank you so much for feeling me in.

oh gotcha!! you will do great & the 6 months really fly by. my piece of advice is- do not over indulge from the moment u meet that surgeon! or you will be like me... struggling towards the deadline! I need to lose 10 pounds in 4 weeks smh. thinking about liquids after thanksgiving. but once u see that surgeon & nutritionist... be on your best behavior! lol. get all your goodies in NOW if u must.

Yes QueenLeo, I have started also, nutritionist>3 times

Surgeon>once

Endoscopy>done

Psych eval>still need

I need to see nutritionist three more times.
