Yeah I was going to ask that when

I have my PreOp appointment in September.

I wanted to see how people have handled it. I've cut a ton of sugar and other "bad" stuff out of my diet but I've noticed more hypoglycemia episodes.

Worst happen this past weekend while trying to grocery shop. Luckily I was by the registers so once I steadied myself, I grabbed a iced tea and candy bar.

I have type 2 diabetes and prior to my surgury I was put on a 5 week semi liquid / liquid diet. I was on an insulin pump and took metforman and Januvia. My endocrinologist cut my insulin in half at the start of my pre op diet. 3 weeks in I lost 40 lbs and she took me off the insulin pump. Prior to surgury I had lost 55 lbs and she took me off all my medications declareing that my diabetes was is in full remission. Now 16 weeks out and my blood sugars consistently test in the 80's & 90's.
