By the way, for those of you who aren't a fan of vanilla, try adding a little instant coffee (decaf or whatever you're allowed). It's amazing!!!!

What tip about what coupons? I could use coupons! Please?

Ok so if you go to Google type in premier Protein shake coupons 2016. And it may take you a min to find the right link I believe is something like redplum. Com. Any way they have 2 coupons one for $4 off a 4 pack (walmart) and one for $3 off a 4 pack (competitor) either way Walmart will take them both, one pack per coupon and you can print out each coupon twice per electronic device. And I think you can do that once a week? Not 100% sure how often u can reprint. They expire the end of july so still good for a couple more weeks, I went a stocked up. I got 12 packs for $50 instead of $100. They are almost $ 8 here a pack.

Does the premier Protein mess with anybody's G.I. tract? I was drinking them and they gave me diarrhea.

No sorry, I've been living with diarrhea every day for the last 6 yrs due to having my gallbladder removed, so if it did I never noticed.

@@iwanttobethin I never had diarrhea but about a week after surgery I had horrible bloating and a bellyache after drinking a Premier. I drank them on my pre-op liquid phase with no problem. I asked my nutritionist and she said if you graded Protein on an A-F scale Premier is a 'D' and she wasn't surprised to which I wondered why it was suggested in our manual? Anyway, I haven't tried one since and have had trouble with bloating/nausea with most RTD Protein Shakes. =/

Do you take bile salts? It may help because without the gallbladder, you are not processing fat in your diet. The fat could be causing the diarrhea. Maybe research it and try it? Just a thought.

I love these shakes! chocolate is great, banana OK, strawberry tastes like what Play doh smells like and haven't tried vanilla because I'm not fond of the flavor to begin with.

These shakes are great, so far chocolate & banana my favorite. I just got vanilla to try because I read someone used the orange Mio flavor drops in it and it tasted like a Creamsicle!

I'll have to look into that just figured it was something I was just gonna have to live with. My mom had hers taken out the year before me and she doesn't have any of the issues I do so I just figured there wasn't much I could do for it. Especially since I've mentioned it to my Dr's and they haven't said or done anything. But thank you very much I'll look into that!!!

@@finding_onederland She never elaborated why and I didn't think to ask because they bothered me so much I didn't plan on drinking anymore. I'm not sure if it's the quality of whey Protein isolate they use, but you would think whey Protein isolate is whey protein isolate unless it's the source? Even then I'm not sure how she knows that.

that is a bummer because I really like it. I will have to research more.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
