May HAVE to have bypass vs sleeve

Ok. Got a concerning message from my dr. The endoscopy shows signs of previous barrett's syndrome which, if confirmed, will a eliminate my option for the sleeve and only allow a Gastric bypass. That is my LEAST favorite option. Have any of you experienced that?

I have Barrett's esophagus & I am having the sleeve. He said he will fix the hiatal hernia & the reflux may stop with the weight loss. He said he could tell that I had had significant reflux for a long time. He can always go in later & fix the esophageal sphincter next year.
