Late June Sleeve Buddies?

Recommended Posts

Thank you @shelterdog64. I wouldn't wish this grieving on anyone. I'm a wreck. Also, dealing with this is making me sick and my sleeve is enough to deal with. Why is life so hard? ????

Also, thank you for the recipe. I'll have to try it when I get cauliflower

My scale move a bit, but still in a stall. I'm back on normal food, but I focus on eating Protein first. I do eat multiple times a day. My company buys us lunch, it takes me 3 attempts to eat it. Noon, 3pm and 5pm. And that just the meat. I often don't eat the rest.

I had jury duty yesterday and wasn't surprised this morning to find I gained a pound. There was absolutely no way I could eat right or get in my liquids. Spent the day on a jury panel waiting to be called back into court or in court listening to both sides ask questions of us for juror selection.

We were given 45 minutes for lunch and the cafeteria smelled of grease when I got near it. Ick. It was 30 minutes before it closed so there wasn't a lot to choose from. I just couldn't do the grilled chicken that was sitting in a vat of liquid so I had a baked potato. I had a couple of sips of Water and back to courtroom. Was finally released at end of day when jury selection was final. (It was a disturbing case and is still on my mind.)

I know now to plan ahead for lunch and take my own when I can't be in control. Can't really change not drinking liquids. I took a bottle of water with me but wasn't able to consume it. So today, I plan to get back on track with protien and liquids. You wouldn't think one day not following plan would make a difference, but it does.

Just wanted to share my experience of how sensitive our bodies are. They want water and protien! Have a great day!

Suzzzzz, I've started keeping a Quest bar and a small water bottle in my handbag just for those 'can't control' events. I SO often walk out of the house without my big water bottle and the Protein Bar has saved me more than once. And just as a ps, the day AFTER I gained one pound, I lost 3 :)

Sorry about the disturbing jury duty, it's definitely a look at the underbelly of society at times, isn't it?

Yes, an awful glimpse at the underbelly.

Good idea to keep a protien bar handy. I do keep water with me, I just couldn't drink it yesterday. And I certainly hope I have your experience after a gain!!

Thanks for the support.

Hey you guys! So nice to see you are all still here and making great progress in your diets. I have been really sick and in the hospital and unable to communicate with anyone outside of family. My sleeve surgery went great in June but I had other complications following that, that caused some additional surgeries and I'm really too weak to do much at the moment. Can't eat or drink really and that is affecting my sleeve. I was doing so good in the beginning! Keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I could use some of that mojo for a quick recovery.

So proud and so happy to see you are all still here and making great strides. Keep up all the good work. Will check in soon. xo <3

I am having fun on the soft foods stage. Had a chicken sour cream enchilada without tortilla, meatballs in a very light gravy, banana, guacomole, topping from nachos, and I have so much more to try. Have company visiting for weekend and eating out lunch and dinners. Protien shake in morning and afternoon.

@@Maggie143 hope you are feeling better and hope to hear from you soon!

Thank you for the well wishes. Will be checking in when I can. Glad you are doing good and sorry about Jury duty - uuugghhh the nice thing is that will put a jump start on your metabolism again and you will probably lose some more quickly! Keep up the good work <3

Thought I hit a stall but it only lasted 4 days. I have noticed I can eat more now. So swelling has gone down. My goal from here is 60lbs. I've lost 25lbs since pre-surgical diet til now. At this point I'm feeling pretty confident that I can deal with the small plate at every dinner meal, and I'm never going to be a big Breakfast eater. Just not my thing. So shake in the morning suits me. Love my chocolate mixed with PB2. It's so good. And the Oykos Triple 3 Greek yogurt is the best and high in Protein and taste great. The only thing I struggle with is taking Vitamins. It's hard to get them down. Yucky

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
