Sleeve scheduled July 1st in Atlanta

I'm scheduled for the gastric sleeve and I'm very excited! I just want to get to a happy healthy place. I have 18 days out of work, wondering do I need that many days? One week is paid, but the rest is unpaid.

I don't think you'll need that many, assuming you don't have a physically strenuous job. I have friends who are post-op who say a week was more than enough. One actually was sleeved in Tijuana last month and went sightseeing when she left the hospital. The only thing to keep in mind is how long it'll be before you can drive again. Some have said as long as 7-10 days after surgery.

My job is not physical at all. I'm thinking 10 days will be good. I'll check at my preop appointment.

Hello!

I just went to see Dr. Macik for the first time on Monday. I thought he seemed really nice! I cannot wait to get further along in the process.

How has your process been? Have you had your surgery? I think Dr. Macik is great.
