I'm 5 weeks out. I eat raw red peppers, yellow peppers and cukes with hummus. Not big on the salad yet. I avoid all bread, Pasta, rice, and sweets thus far. I do eat popcorn sometimes. chicken, fish, 1 egg omelet (at work). Salad, like someone else said, is hard to digest and doesn't have Protein. It's always best to talk to your team. I had asked about popcorn on this site and got various remarks. Some don't eat until 6 months out. Some think it takes that long to heal inside but on my month check up, they told me I am healed and already have scar tissue forming around the incision on the inside. I told her what I was told about popcorn getting stuck in my staples and she chuckled and assured me that wouldn't happen. That's the only "bad carb" I eat and I don't eat it daily. My month check up I had dropped 29 pounds and she said I was doing great and cleared me to eat and do what I want but to make sure I try new things (food) carefully. It's amazing how many different opinions there are out there. My surgeon has been around a while and he specializes in WLS, he has a great rep so I don't question their advice.

Good things come to good people.

Your sleeve must have been reinforced with steel.... popcorn??? Amazing
