Ready for new adventure

My band slipped twice and was finally removed in March of 2015. 12 months later I am 130 lbs heavier and pre-op for the bypass. My date was set for June 15th and I am so excited. It took a bit for me to make the decision to move forward because of all the mental and physical torture the band put me in the last two years I had it. Then without the band I felt like a failure and watched my weight come back. the 15th cannot come fast enough. I know it will be different this time!

Welcome and congrats on surgery date! I am ex bandit myself, just freshly revised to bypass and already feel glad that I don't have band in me anymore (was never a fan of the foreign item in my body).

I had the band for 9 years so it took me a while to have to guys to revise as well.

Good luck on your surgery and let us know if we can be of any help.
