Not sure if im underestimating or confusing these 2 and need to see my Dr asap

Im 5 weeks out of having my sleeve done and for several days ive been having cramping and bloatiness in my lower belly which i related to my cycle coming on...I normally cramp atleast a week prior to, so it didnt seem alarming...But today im having pains under my right rib also and its tender to the touch....Not sure if i need to get into the Dr asap cause maybe something is wrong or this is my cycle coming on or maybe even gas...Can any1 tell me what would be signs besides pain that ive done something inside that needs medical attention right away??? If any1 can guve advice id appreciate it...Tyia

I agree with @@KristenLe, please call your surgeon's office. It may be gas, your period a pulled muscle or absolutely nothing. It is improtant to let them know when something just doesn't feel right.

Best to be checked out or at least talk to your doc's office....hope you feel better soon.

It's always best to get it checked if you're worried.

I'm 6 weeks out and last week had similar sounding pain under to cage. There was an area that hurt and was a little tender. It was due to internal healing. Stitches dissolve and nerves re-knit. I ended up taking some of my leftover pain meds and it went away in a couple days.

Always check though, but if you dr says it is normal, just know you aren't alone. :-)

Thank u every1 for all the replies...I seen my doc today and he says everything seems normal...I am bloated which he said could be gas or possibly my period..If the pain becomes very sharp or unbearable go directly to ER...But as of right now he see's no issues of concern....thankx again for all the replies and concerns....
