Un-filling the band before revision surgery?

Hi! I was wondering if Un-filling the band pre-surgery is necessary. I'm submitting all my papers to the insurance this week and I was wondering if I should request an unfill in order to prepare for the surgery. Right now my band has 5.5 cc of saline. How was your experience with your revision?

    My lapband was removed in June 2016 and having the sleeve procedure in about 2 weeks. How's your post op?

    Had my band unfilled 2 months ago to prep me for the EGD (which I hated) and my surgery is in a couple of weeks.
