I am SO glad that I'm not the only one who is totally exhausted most of the time. I thought it was just me. I think the best part of this site is that it makes me feel "normal". I've also noticed that many others have a greater loss than mine so far. I was sleeved on 2/3 and I've lost 32 pounds so far. Maybe I'm just slow?

I had my surgery February 25, 2016 gastric bypass is what I had done, and i have lost 40 pounds so far . I am happy with that but still have 74 pounds to goal weight of 170 pounds. My back problems have resolved itself and I am starting to have more energy now, thank goodness. Also, I am still on soft foods I have tried the next step of the diet but I am not ready my pouch feels better with the soft diet. Plan on taking it slow. But I lost 15 pounds on the 2 week liquid diet before surgery so a total of 55 pounds lost. My starting weight was 299 pounds.

I was wondering do any of you fight with yourself when it comes to old eating habits or trying to eat when your not really hungry? Just wondering I fight with myself all the time.

@@pjames123 That's great progress! I fight head hunger, too, particularly when I watch other people eat old favorites or when I want to eat my stress. But it's nothing like before. I don't feel as frantic about food as I once did. Support groups help a lot.

I'm so glad I did it to. I'm down 58 lbs (52 since surgery). I'm losing slow but not shocked as I can eat more (than I think I should), and while not stuffing myself...not enough veggies and too much sugar. I have been exercising about half the time

I probably can eat about half of what I could before. Grateful, but I thought I would be able to eat much less.

I'm down from an 18/20 to a solid 14 i. Clothes, much happier with that.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
