A-MAY-zing Bandits Monthly Exercise/Water Challenge

Recommended Posts

Thanks to MetalBand for getting us going in July! Now here we are, a few days into August and I thought I would start a new thread for our monthly Exercise & Water Challenge. I figure we can just keep adding to this thread for each month.

For each month set your own goal, with a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise at least 20 days of the month. Also, don't forget to get in at least 64 oz. of water each and every day!

I've already got three days of exercise and water under my belt. For me, it's been easier to get in the exercise than it has been to get in the water! Never thought that would be the case!

I know there won't be tons of posts here, but it's great to see folks exercise tickers changing on the other threads!

Good luck to all of us!

Margaret

I'm sorry I neglected to post in last month's thread. I did meet the challenge for July though! :-) And I intend to do even more this month by adding some time in the sauna 5-6 days a week. At my gym it's an extra charge by the month (fancy infrared sauna) so I'm going to make sure I get my money's worth!

It looks like everyone did great in July!! Woohoooooo!

Hello all!

It seems as though I've been on plateau for quite some time now. After reading all the posts and coming to terms that I've only lost 14.5 lbs. in 3 months has really challenged me to get moving again. I'm joining the August exercise challenge in hopes of kicking my weight loss into high gear. My goal is to lose 2 lbs. per week. I truly belive that most of my problems stem from not eating much. I can honestly say that I'm lucky to eat 900 calories daily. So compile that with lack of exercise and what do you we have. A body in starvation in mode! SO, I'm planning my meals out and taking my Protein shakes, working out 30 minutes a day and drinking my recommended 64 oz. of Water. Wish me luck because if this plan does not work, not sure how I'll feel.

You all bring me such great inspiration and glad to be a part of this group.

Weighting...

Glad you joined us. I have been stuck on a plateau for quite a while now and just can't seem to jump start it. I have plenty of restriction in the morning and at lunchtime, but dinner is better and then, oh those dreaded hours after dinner. I seem to always be hungry. Have been walking and gardening when the weather is cool enough, but when it's hot and I'm stuck inside, food seems to call out to me! LOL. And it's always chocolate or some higher calorie soft food. Need to quickly change that.

Keep us posted on how you are doing with your Water intake and exercise.

Cheers,

Margaret (aka NimbleBean)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
