I just found this thread and was curious to know how everyone is doing a year later! I did my nutrition classes and psych clearance through the Christiana Weight Management Program, but I'm not having my surgery at CHRIAS.

@tlh4life well, it's almost a year and I feel great! This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself. I'm down 67 pounds. I would still like to loose another 25 pounds. But, it does get a whole lot harder after the honeymoon phase is over. I'm off all of my meds! And no more cpap machine! And I feel great! My husband is at his goal weight, he had his surgery exactly one week after me. He is also off meds and cpap! We have both had some wls associated hair loss at around the 5 month mark, not too bad though, its just starting to slow down now. Neither of us have any excess skin issues. The first few days at home after the surgery are the worst, but you will get through it. You will get some pain when you eat too much or too fast, just listen to your body and not your brain. You will be ok. The premier protein shakes have been a Godsent! I still drink them. I get them at costco. Good luck to you on your journey, I hope you are as happy as we are ???
