10 days to go...so excited! I need a buddy though?!

I've got ten days until my surgery and would really like to talk to someone who's going through the same thing...pre op diet is liquid only which I'm ok with until the evening? Any advice?

Hi! I'm a little further out.. 3 days post op but I too had a hard time with the liquids in the evening. I had been a nighttime snacker and that change threw me for a loop. The first couple of days I had to take a Xanax and just get to sleep! It did get much easier every day!

My fiancé was great and did it with me or ate real food outside the house while I was on preop liquids. Post op I am in a lot of pain but my pain tolerance in general is very low. The worst pain comes from drinking for me but it is better if I am walking and drinking at the same time. Where are you having yours done?

I am doing pre op liquids now..on day 8. I have had a rough time too. Sometimes I'm starving. Just gotta keep up on liquids. My 2nd day was horrible that I had something to eat. The milky protein shakes are horrible now. I started new drinks. It's so hard. I'm definitely ready for this to be over with. I miss food. My mind is going back n forth. I just gotta keep telling myself that this is temporary and we can have food again soon. My puree stage starts March 13th. Can't wait already.
