Had to see the nurse practioner today...

I called the doctor's office today because it hurts when I breathe and burp and hurts really bad to swallow anything besides mushies. They told me to come in. They didn't really seem too concerned. Just told me to take the diet back a step and give myself more time to heal. But it has been 3 weeks! You'd think I could eat SOMETHING by now. Any suggestions or comments?

Oh yeah, I lost 3 more pounds! I need to change my signature

I'm sorry to say..get use to it..Our bodies make so many noises/feeling/tightness.

Back a year ago or so. there seem to be stricker rules of what to eat/drink.

Do take it easy...drink, sip what you can

Your still healing. Nice to see the doctor, isn't it?

One step at a time

Yup. 3 weeks is pretty soon to be trying anything more than mushies according to the majority of docs who have been placing bands awhile. Pain upon breathing, burping etc, could very well still be the diaphragm. It is stretched during surgery and takes awhile to heal. Be kind to yourself and your band. Better to go slow than to speed things up and regret it later.

You'll be fine!

I didn't even get to have mushies until week three. Go easy and take good care of that lovely band. Your diaphragm will insist on it if you don't.
