It has been about 2 months since my last fill and I am getting ready to go next week for another one......but..........for about a week 1/2 now I haven't been able to eat nearly like I was. Food gets hung up very easily and I get nauseated and full very quickly. What is the deal? Any ideas? Thanks!

.....when I wake up? I feel very nauseated/queasy and can't eat or drink until I have been up for a while. Tomorrow I will be 4 weeks post-op. Thanks!

I called the doctor's office today because it hurts when I breathe and burp and hurts really bad to swallow anything besides mushies. They told me to come in. They didn't really seem too concerned. Just told me to take the diet back a step and give myself more time to heal. But it has been 3 weeks! You'd think I could eat SOMETHING by now. Any suggestions or comments? Oh yeah, I lost 3 more pounds! I need to change my signature

Yeah, those are good but I would have to drink an awful lot to get my 50-70 grams of protein per day.

Any suggestions? I can't stomach the one I have (the one the office recommended) It is called Opti-Pro. I gagged the whole time I was drinking it. Thanks :sick

I feel so much better today. No more fever or nausea (and I am well stocked on the phenergran suppositories now!) I am starting to get hungry. Not raging hunger but twinges. I have been doing the cream Soups and jellos and popsicles, etc. Can't wait until I can progress to mushies! Thank you all for your support!!

Did any of you run a low grade temp or have nausea after your surgery? My temp is 100 and I was very nauseated this morning. I am waiting on my doctor to return my call.

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Everything went great. I have gas pain but it is getting better. I do have a question........can I turn on my side or sleep on my side? It isn't going to screw anything up, is it? Because it feels really tender where the port is and I am scared of "pulling it out" or something. My friend, Jeff, who was banded a couple of years ago tells me that I am not going to hurt anything by turning. I want more opinions! Thanks!

Ok, my surgery is scheduled for 12:30 tomorrow. I have to be there at 11:00. They are going to do bloodwork to see if my sinus infection has cleared. I feel fine now.......so keep your fingers crossed that my WBC's are back down to normal! Today is nothing but Clear liquids. So far, so good. But I have only been awake for 20 minutes. Lainie

I am so disappointed. I was scheduled for surgery at 11 AM tomorrow but they pushed me back a week due to a sinus infection and a urinary tract infection. I know it is for the best but DANG!

:cool: I am so happy.....something is finally happening! I got all my pre-op bloodwork and clearances in and they called today to tell me to come for my pre-op teaching on Monday! They said I might possibly get a surgery date that day, also! I am so happy. I think this wait has been the most torturous thing ever! Wish me luck! Lainie
