I am waiting for approval and wondering if anyone knows what Dr. Spivak's pre surgery diet is and for how long?

I was and am a patient of Dr.S and know that he did not require a diet prior to the surgery. No foods after midnight the night before surgery. Thats all!

Did you say if you went to the infomational Seminar he requires before surgery or not? These are all things he covers in that couple of hours. I got all of my info from there, you might try going to that if your serious about getting banded.

He should have given you a list of foods to eat. They are low glycemic. The reason being to help shrink the liver prior to surgery.

I can't really remember what he told me about dieting pre-surgery, but I know it wasn't anything strenuous. No liquid fasts or anything. He just wanted me to lose 2 pounds pre-surgery.
