What's your workout routine?

Recommended Posts

Wow, you are all amazing! I'm only a month out, and two weeks out from gallbladder surgery, but I just can't even imagine exercising right now. I do walk about a mile a day right now to work and out lunch, but I'm really looking forward to implementing some of your routines when I'm allowed.

I wear a Fitbit and do lots of walking throughout the day. Also, at least 4 days at the gym/week an hour a time. Alternate days of swimming/water jogging with weights and weights/treadmill. I started back again at week 6. Am 2 months and 2 days out. Before surgery, I was doing 6 days/week... Hoping to get back to that:)

I don't really have a "schedule".. I go either once or twice day. Either the gym, or at home.. I run a lot.. I do weights.. I cycle.. I try to get it in whenever I can. Some days I run at lunch and weight train at night..

I have always worked out, so I was walking when I got home from surgery. I was jogging at 4 days post op, and I think I went back to spinning 2 weeks after with light weights. At a month out I was back to my full schedule, with mild weights.. back to heavy weightlifting at 6 weeks.

I'm just a week from 3 months post op and have been working out 4-5 days per week, and I usually do some non structured activities on the weekends. I have been doing workouts at home, videos from youtube and my cables on demand option as well as HIT circuits and resistance bands. I mix it up every night for something different. I plan on getting out and walking again after all the snow melts, I have a chiweenie and he loves his walks when I get home from work. I hope to work up to running this spring.

Just under 3.5 months out from sleeve surgery.

It took me longer than I wanted to get back into a routine. Also had a hernia repaired at the time of sleeve surgery.......hoping the doc gives me the go for weight training on my next visit, next week.

Bought a fitbit prior to surgery and am trying to reach the point where I hit 10K per day.....every day.....work days and off days.

Will be adding some weight training as doc and time permits.

10K everyday.....and with training 3 times per week is that I want to settle in on.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
