Hello i had my sleeve October 29th of this year and i was the exact same height and weight as you are on my surgery day. I am now at 6 weeks out and down 30lbs. i hope this helps you.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Shelly my sleeve was done 12/22/15 Tuesday today is Saturday. I was not afraid of the surgery but afterwards because of the post from others .

Weight start 212 lost 10 lbs pre op

Sat 196.

Gas pain None

vomiting or nausea None

Walked alittle 5 hrs after surgery .

Ice chips were great had lots but they did taste salty not great

I've been amazed how quickly felt good.

Getting in all protein and water but it takes all day.

I was really worried that I would suffer for couple weeks with terrible gas and not be able to drink water and get dehydrated. So far none of this happened.

Hope this helps you feel better ,

WLS will help you lose weight, as it keeps us from eating a lot at one 'feeding'.

Your key to success for a life long journey after WLS is to make sure you can fend off the grazing problem. That to mean, will you be able to manage stress and emotional drivers, to stay on course (for a lifetime).

YOU CAN DO IT!!!
