yes I did. he even used some of the old scars from band surgery for the new surgery.

Thank you so much I would like to keep in touch with you my surgery will be in December.how long did it take you to recover because it was almost like a double surgery

same amount of time. I had a drain in for 1 week and that was a bother but my pain level wasn't higher. I just remembered all the do's and don'ts of surgery and that helped. I had a uncomplicated recovery. I love not having the band anymore. the little pouch of gastric bypass works for me like crazy. i always had to work very hard with the band to get the full signal. you will love your bypass.

I am having band removed and bypass done on the same day on 12/7 - I'll let you know how I do!
