I started my WLS journey in Jan'14. I had almost 5 months in of my 6 month wait time when I was diagnosed with uterine cancer.
I had to have a complete hysterectomy this July, which would have been my sleeve surgery month. Thankfully, surgery was my cure and I just need to have frequent follow ups (and suffer through instant menopause -HOT flashes!!)
Through it all, I keep up my WL appointments and I now have my date! Dec 14. I am a speech therapist through the schools, so I picked that time.
I've lost about 40 pounds since last Jan. Still around BMI of 41. Type II diabetes and fatty liver. Can't wait to lessen all of that and have more energy.
Went to the theater last night to see Dirty Dancing. I'm hoping it's the last time I'll feel that uncomfortable in a theater seat, trying not to touch the person next to me.
Struggling already with too big clothes. Not wanting to buy anything now, but the struggle is real!
Looking forward to reading more stories now that it's getting close for me (again!)
