Two more days to go and I'm HANGRY!

  • Popular Post

Day 2 of liquid diet. 2 days to go for surgery. I'm so hangry! I'm hungry, angry that I'm hungry, and I have a head cold that is making me whiny. I want a sammich. I'm very excited though. We have an early flight tomorrow so my companion and I will stay at a hotel tonight and prevent the long drive at an ungodly hour tomorrow. Here we go!

Seriously, someone get me a sandwich!

Its so hard. I did it for 14 days. I think the first 8 were the hardest. Once I hit less than a week to go it seemed to ease up. You can do it! You need to do it. It will be so worth it. Water is your friend now.

Hang in there! But no sammich for you! ????

I did the pre-op diet for four weeks then I had to do clear liquids only for three days before surgery. By the day of surgery I was begging them to cut my stomach out so the hunger would stop. It will all be worth it. Just hang in there! Drink lots of broth. That helped me.

Best wishes, @@Yaberhoo

You'll do great. Keep up the pre-op diet. It's for your health and safety.

Your surgeon is gonna do the surgery with you having a head cold?

Yes, I contacted the nurse as soon as I felt it coming on. She said to take cold medication but that doctor will still do the surgery. It's already almost gone. I feel much better than I did yesterday. Another good night's sleep and I should be right as rain.

I also did four weeks of pre op. Pre op was ok, this is brutal.

Im on day 8 of 14 day liquid only diet. Its definitely easier than at the beginning but its still pretty rough. Surgery next tuesday at 6am and cant wait. Pretty soon u wont want a sammich:)..and neither will i...lol

Hey Dub...i saw on some other posts u jus had surgery...hows everything going with yours

I feel the same!!! I am on day 2 and my surgery is scheduled for Thursday and I am also hangry! I want chips, chicken, pizza, bbq, cookies...anything!!!!!

I'm finishing day 2 of 14 of the liquid diet. The hardest part is getting in all my protein shakes. They don't taste the best. My surgery date is November 3rd and it seems farther away today than a month ago. The upside is I've already lost 4 lbs in two days.
