I can relate to quite a few of these!!! The bat wings clapping for sure! Oh and when I go braless my boobs clap for me too! It's a sad state of affairs on my chest! I don't mind the bony parts though, makes me feel skinny! ????

Omg yes! The bony ass...who knew that was there? And the impossible to shave pits...super concave with loose skin to navigate...dangerous to say the least! And yeah, I can shave my lady garden, but I even have loose skin to deal with there!! Damn! At times I find the extra skin fascinating and amusing...but it sure creates some interesting challenges! A friend of mine is even more fascinated by it and loves to squish it...even calks me "squishy one" which makes me giggle.

Thanks for mention the loose skin in the lady garden, I thought I was alone!!

OMG!!! Yes, Yes, Yes to all of the above!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o

Boney Butt syndrome was one of the first things I noticed after sitting on a stool cleaning out the basement. OUCH! I couldn't sit comfortably for 2 days. And let's not talk about my bat wings ... forget clapping for me, the first time I shook my arms after a shower to get the Water off my husband seriously asked me if I was okay! But my biggest issue is definitely the loss of my boobs. I went from a 46F/46DDD to a 40D-ish. Talk about pancakes!!! I bent over at school the other day and totally had one breast pop completely out of my bra! I was sooooo glad it was my prep & no one was in the room. We are doing a flash mob at an assembly and we had practice Friday, so went & changed into a sports bra first. Unfortunately, even THAT didn't hold em down so well. Felt like I was gonna take flight between the bat wings flapping and the boobs wobbling all around!!!

@ lol!!! You better strap those puppies in! I plan on buy some new ones somewhere down the line. I've always had big boobs, I get them from

My Italian grandmother. I am built for them even smaller. I need mine back! It would be nice to not wear a bra 24/7

There is one other thing which has been brought to my attention been back and forth between London and Rome Italy for the last 4 months so aside from my kids I haven't seen any of my family members since the sleeve so I occasionally post pictures on Facebook well I uploaded a picture last week all of a sudden keep getting calls form all sorts wanting to know if everything is well with me. I was a bit puzzled by the sudden interest in my will being

Well I have lost soon much weight from my face it looks like I have just been discharged from hospital after a major illness

Now am only 5ft2 and 148 My bum says overweight so what happened to my face now think what I need to do plum up my face

Ok these may just be mine but I've found two negatives from losing a large amount of weight. I've discovered both of these while taking a bath (figured I may as well set the scene) 1) My once plump butt is boney, and I'm talking sit down to shave my legs and it hurts boney. I feel like my skinny friends really dropped the ball on not telling me this! I'm going to have to seriously rethink my friendships since it's blatantly obviously they care nothing about my well being. 2) The weirdest one, shaving my underarms! It's like someone came and built the Grand Canyon under my arms! WTH happened under there?!! I swear if it were any deeper I would be shaving my lungs!! So odd! I have to literally pull contortionist moves to get everything shaved properly. Isn't November no shave month?! I think I'm going to join the men on that one because this shaving is for the birds!! I know you guys have some you could share too! Maybe give a girl a heads up before I forgo bathing all together. ;) I would include pictures but Alex would probably frown on that so use your imagination ;)

HAHAHAHAAHAA!!! You're so funny!! I have been meaning to make a post about my underarm problems as well!! I can't get a clean shave!! Shaving my knees is dangerous as well, they are too angular.

And don't even get me started on boney butt pain. I have real trouble sitting on hard chairs for any long amount of time. I used to fear breaking chairs- now I fear them breaking my butt!!

When I was overweight I felt like the only large person in the world. Now I realize the opposite is true and I'm in the minority. I can't shop at old navy, target, banana republic or the gap anymore. The sizes are too big because they run large as it is. I'm a size 2/4 and find myself shopping in teenager stores because women sizes aren't small enough.

I wish I had been kinder to myself when I was overweight. :) at least I did have a GREAT butt back then with a built in cushion!

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Some days I feel like an infiltrator... I'm participating in society as a "thin" person. They have no idea that I haven't always been one of them! 🤣

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL
