So I've been in liquid diet now for 5 days, and so far not as bad as I feared. Down 13lbs. I've had a headache every day though. My doc had me doing Optifast.< /p>

I feel for you. I will probably do a day or two before surgery of only liquids just to empty my stomach completely. I see my surgeon this Friday. I'm pretty sure it's the last time I will be weighed before surgery. I'm on blood thinner so I will need to do painful lovenox shots one week prior and about a week after. That's the main thing I'm not looking forward to ! PAINFUL!!

My surgery date is Nov 9th. Yesturday was the first day of liquid diet and it was easy peasy. I feel like i am too excited to be complaining of being hungry. But you never know, i may lose my mind in the next few days since ny NUT said that first 2-3 days are the worse.

I gained weight recently as well because I was so stressed about everything and was worried about not being able to eat certain foods again. It was really interesting though, because when I stopped and actually asked myself if I wanted to eat these foods or if it was just fear driving this "hunger", I was able to stop my eating and make smarter choices. This is such a first for me. I really realize that I am ready for this change to happen in my life and I am sure you are as well :)

I started my pre-op diet today, even though my surgeon said it was unnecessary. I wanted to feel united with everyone else going through this process as well as prove to myself that I can do this!

My sleeve date is Nov. 9th. I'm super nervous because I'm gaining weight before my Pre-op diet.

Hello everyone! My surgery date is November 5th! I had been scheduled for yesterday October 27th but I went in even went through pre-op and everything then the dr found some irregularities with some thyroid tests results in my history from two months before and said it could be very dangerous as the thyroid controls so many things that there was a chance I could even crash in surgery and not recover so we elected to teat it and go on meds and recheck in a month but my test results came back today and they were normal so I am back on the schedule for Nov 5 next Thursday!!! I was disappointed at the time but I am thankful they were looking out for me and it all turned out well! Anyway I just wanted to say hi and good luck to all the other fellow Nov all the fellow Nov sleevers

Hi all November Sleevers,

just an update I am a Nov 11,

i met with my Nutritionist for my pre-op a earlier this week..my Pre-op diet is low carb, high Protein and no sugar. The calorie ceiling for each day is 1200..and so far so good..

2 days before Nov 11th its 100% Clear Liquids.< /p>

Strangely enough though she said it was okay to have diet soda during the pre-op..I was soo surprised, but I told her i have really limited my soda-pop intake for the last 2 years and I don't crave it, so I scratched that off the paper she gave me.

all my post-op meds are ordered including my pain meds.....

more info to come as the days progress.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
