Thigh numbness and burning?

Almost 5 weeks post op. Have had left outer thigh numb, tingling and burning for about a week. Anyone else? Wondering if it's related.

Yeeessss!!! Was wondering what was going on! I too feel some weird sensation on my left outer thigh and it gets numb. It is sporadic so I can't figure out what triggers it. I am almost 3wks out. Lets hope someone can help us figure out what it is.

Yes, me too. Left leg is worse, top of the thigh is completely numb. I'm going to see what the surgeon says about it during my follow up visit. I did a search of this forum and others and I guess it's not uncommon. There is another post in this subforum about it, called Meralgia Paresthetica. It is caused by pressure on the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve.

Me to but on my right I'm 3 weeks out and it's been numb since day 4

Yes, it only lasted a few weeks. My surgeon said it was neuropathy due to obesity. I had it prior to my surgery for many years, but just on my right side. When I walk a lot, or stand a lot it seems to flare up. It was both sides after surgery. It's gone for now ...
