Surgery on sept 29...currently on day two of preop diet doctor wants me on

Im on the diet trying to stick to it...have 8 more days to go... Other than feeling like being hit by a mac truck i think im doing ok. Now if only my mom would pay attention to the instruction sheet and stop tempting me with foods i should not have.. Lol

I got the shake mix the vanilla flavor and many different flavor extracts so that i can have variety of flavors... Which actually have saved me in morning with mint flavoring.. Also have almond, raspberry, anise, hazelnut, coconut, vanilla, orange, peppermint... Now the sheet says that extracts are allowed, but i did notice that all extracts have different levels of alcohol in them... Now this may be a dumb question should i ignore those levels?

If your allowed coffee yeah it may help but can prolong the detox from caffeine. My diet instructions say no caffeine allowed but then again i shouldnt be smoking... I did reduce

Thank you I'll give it ago , poor you got double quitting food intake and smoking, I'm struggling with just food , that must be hard , good luck hope every thing Gos well for you ????

Hi my date is also 29sep , I'm on liquids only and in the UK ,I wish I could just munch on a carrot or something I'm sooo hungry

My surgery is on the 28th (UK) I'm on 3 pints of milk and 2 yogurts only, I would give anything to have even just a teaspoon of cottage cheese! Lol

Wow uk plans dont include a shake mix of some kind? That is one thing that keeps me from feeling super hungery. I just added some orange extract to my vanilla shake mix and yum creamsicle!

I'm in Sheffield. No shakes at all just 3 pints of milk, 2 low fat yogurts and 2 litres of water :(

Thanks. It's strange that the pre-op diets are all so different.

I'm so jealous of both of your diets!

I hope it is all worth it.

Don't know about you guys but this is the hardest thing I have every had to do to my self , if any ever says it's an easy way out they had better hope I'm in a good mood that day lol
