I've never dreamed of food.< /p>

But I did have these weird dreams for the 1st week post-op.

I was living in a post-apocalyptic world and I was going through

some kind of test to see if I was smart enough to be part of some group of survivors.

Same dream night after night. Weird????!!!! :-)

That used to happen to me when I was dieting pre-sleeve. I think I was so stressed out from repeated failure that it turned into literal nightmares. At the core, I think it's an anxiety thing and is completely normal. Post-sleeve I haven't really had these dreams and I think it's because I am more sure of my ability to succeed.

Oh man, I had wet dreams about food for about a month after surgery. I would wake up, feverish with desire for pizza. I can still remember the dream of melty stretchy cheese pulling when the slice was slowly taken away from the pizza.< /p>

I would also see me grilling thick burgers, listening to the sizzle... then flash forward to me taking a huge bite that left my cheeks puffed out.

Thankfully they stopped after I got to chew something instead of just liquids and mashed foods. But man, it was weird. I felt like a 13 year old again, but instead of erotic dreams it was food dreams. I think that was when it truly hit me that I was addicted to food.

When I was still on liquids after surgery I had a very vivid dream about have the best steak of my life in NYC. Once I could eat food, I haven't had a food dream since.

It could have been worse, at least you weren't "spanking it" to a box of pancake batter with Aunt Jemima on it.

( I'll neither confirm nor deny that.)

That's a joke folks............or is it? :)

I want a “three-way" with her and "Mrs. Butterworth". :)

I've had food dreams infrequently. Sometimes I dream I ate a giant cake, donuts, or some variety of bad for me bakery goods and I would wake up in a panic. It was mostly for the first few months after the sleeve procedure when I was extremely paranoid about eating anything bad for me. I don't believe I have had any dreams like that any time recently.

Dreamed of going to my favorite Mexican restaurant and getting taquetos, enchilada, chile relleno with Beans and rice topped with sour cream. Just me ordering and eating food. Woke up starving and disappointed that I couldn't actually eat it.

What takes the edge off for me is to watch some good food porn. Man vs food, diners/drive ins...etc.. I get to live through other people pile food in. It's therapy in a why, like escaping in a fantasy world.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
