I actually gained weight and they still did my surgery. I remember being so scared that they would cancel on me but thankfully they didn't. Welcome to LBT!!

I was in the same boat! My surgeon said to lose 10 lbs, but I lost 5. I called her and told her I was trying, she was ok with that. They need you to lose weight to try to shrink the size of you liver in order to avoid complications.

They didn't even take my weight during my pre-op test or even the morning of my surgery. I wouldn't worry about it. You may want to call your doctor and let them know you are trying.
