How are my fellow September sleeves doing so far? Just had surgery on the 2nd. Today is day four and can transition to full liquids. How has that been for anyone so far?

I too had surgery on 9/2/2015. I also had hiatal hernia repair. I think that is where most of my pain came from. I didn't walk after I came home (2 nights in hospital). The weather was bad and I just didn't feel like getting out of the house. I did do some leg lifts to help move the gas, etc. Is anyone having a lot of diarrhea? Boy, I am...about 30 minutes after I eat anything you better clear the path for me! I'm not able to use anything sugar-free. It tears my stomach up and gives me a headache. I knew this going in but my surgeon didn't seem to believe me. But that's OK. I see him on Thursday this week for a 2 week follow up. I'm down 15 pounds but 35 inches! I'm pretty excited. I'm just glad it's over before the holidays. I know I'll feel better to Celebrate them. Good luck everyone!

Don't compare yourself to other people byebyefat. Your journey is yours alone. Since my last reply I'm down about another 15 lbs. The total is about 46 now since my 9/14 surgery. How your doing well. I am exercising more now. The wit is coming odd showy and that's fine with me. My SW was 234. My CW is 187. Don't want to lose much more. I feel great. My hair is coming back. I was low in Vitamins A & K. Was laying hair by the handfuls but now I think it's normal again and my hairdresser told me today she sees lots of regrowth. Thank Gawd! How is everyone doing? I haven't been on here in a while.

Byebyefat. Question. I'm not very familiar with this site yet. How do you copy my reply then reply to it? I mis-spoke. I was deficient in A & B12. Not K as I said earlier. You will stalk fire a little bit and then start losing again. Are you exercising yet? Just move. Even if it's only 15 min.a day. Push yourself. Yolk be glad you did. Trust me. You will feel better physically and emotionally too. ???? XO ????

Well tomorrow will be 6 months for us. How are you doing? I'm down 50 and feeling like I've been reborn. Exercise is so much easier and I'm trying different classes at the gym now. Zumba, training, elliptical, treadmill. Want to try a yoga and kickboxing next. Hope all of my fellow sleeves are doing well. Happy Spring. ????????????

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
