I am having trouble sleeping now since surgery though so I'm definitely talking to Dr. Ivan tommrow about it. I feel like I have restless leg syndrome but with my whole body. I hope he can help me out.

Is it loud? I'm sorry you can't sleep either. Idk what's going on and why my body just feels so restless. I walk alot n I drink Water. I just feel restless when I take a medicine with a sedation in it. Like I take ibs medicine and it used to help me sleep at night but does the opposite. Nyquil n zofran are the same way. I hope to get some answers later.

Its not loud at all, unless my mask leaks. Just the mask, its so cumbersome on my face and it irritates my skin and is causing red bumps. I know, I know, I'm being a whiny brat when this nice medical device that my insurance paid for is supposed to help me breathe. You need to breathe to live, ya know.

Oh my goodness. There's no way to sleep with that thing on. I'm sorry! That's no fun at all. Idk how they expect people to sleep with those. I hope the surgery helps with not having that anymore eventually.

Bloomer, it went great. Their scale said I'm 234. But Ivan is happy about my progress. It was really embrassing because my appointment was at 6pm tonight so I was the last patient, well I was a few mins late due to my manager keeping me until 5 and traffic but I walked into the office with everyone standing there waiting on me. Ivan, the girl who takes us back, 2 receptionists, and dee. They joked and said they were having a waiting party for me. I didn't expect them all to be there.

@@bcostasbiggs ~ I'm right behind you, I start pre-op diet on Friday. I have a turkey that has been in my freezer since Christmas that I pulled out to thaw for my Lastgiving Meal on Thursday. I'm going to make a turkey with the fixins' for the family, that way we will have some leftovers for them while I'm starving..lol

Ugh. I ate like half a medium pizza and some cheesy bread tonight. With alcohol. I feel awful.

Tssiemer, don't feel guilty at all. Your allowed to have fun before surgery and you definitely should enjoy these moments because you won't be able to enjoy those moments again pretty much. Carbs are so filling right now. I eat them and then feel so sick. I wish they sat okay. Maybe they will with you though.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
