Humana/ Medicare

Anyone on here have Humana or Medicare insurance? If so what were the coverages and payment by them. Any advice on this and how long it took to get approved would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Medicare insurance?

@@volsfan82

4 years ago i started the approval "walk"/process

at that time they did NOT cover the sleeve

they did cover lapband and gastric bypass

i i didn't want to do either of the above

medicare denied me

then i submitted to my secondary insurance BCBS from my office

after quite awhile/"discussions" i was approved by BCBS :)

medicare now DOES cover the sleeve (lapband and gastric bypass)

as long as you have other comorbities and BMI over 40

don't know how long the approval process takes or what the % what they pay

you must check into this

after reading above - don't think i helped :(

hope you get the info from medicare -

call them

hope everything goes well

good luck

For me, I was approved immediately. I started this process in February 16, and I have surgery today. Its been incredibly fast. In total, ill have to pay 1300 dollars, I was ok with that. Ft sanders even made payment arrangements. Feeling either lucky, or horrible that Im so fat even Medicare knows I need the surgery, not sure which just yet.

abrazar la vida!!
