I was sleeved on 7/27 and I have felt no hunger since day 1. I only eat because I'm supposed to.

Ditto I felt it from the get go.

It's possible if you are still having "hunger" that its head hunger or acid reflux, though there are people who don't get the hunger reduction.

What you don't feel until you heal is fullness/satiation, at least many people don't. It's because the nerves have to heal before they can send those signals.

So once I heal it will get better?

Maybe, maybe not.

If it's acid you need medication from the doctor, a PPI like Omeprazole are you on one?

If it's "head hunger" then you need to do the mental work--are you hungry bc you see food commercials? Because you are sad/mad/lonely/tired/frustrated? What hole does food fill for you?

No hunger from day one.....and don't confuse head hunger (cravings/old habits) with hunger. Also thirst feels like hunger but its not. I try not to going too long without eating or drinking cause it causes me to try to eat or drink fast and then I get that full feeling that I don't like.

I don't crave bad foods.... I eat my Protein all the time.... But I get hungry very very often.... I eat like 4-5 oz of food every 2-3 hours.... I can't stay hungry for long.... And the way you guys are talking (that you don't feel hungry at all) it's an alienated topic for me....

I m going to be 5months post and I have lost 47 pounds..... Is something wrong with me?

I agree with your comment. I'm not craving bad food either nor have I had any. I eat Protein as well and I exercise. Just because we are feeling hunger doesn't mean that we aren't complying with our surgery or its "head hunger".

I sometimes get hunger pains.. But I think it's because I am not getting all my Water in. My surgeon says that you will at some point get hungry. I didn't for the first couple weeks post op. But like I said, when I do feel it, all I do is drink some water and it subsides.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
