UHC called today and said they have approved my surgery. :whoo: I am so excited. I feel very lucky to have two insurance companies. Sure wish I could share with those who do not. My date is Aug. 15 in Indianapolis, IN. I am sure the days will pass quickly. I have an appt. on July 9, 2007 4 hours long. I start the preop diet Aug. 5. I am a little nervous my husband and mother are only some what on board with me having the surgery:think They both fear I will become ill or worse. I will probably be on here every day looking for support and asking questions. This is a great web site!

All you bandsters with UHC, do you mind if I ask if you have the HMO?

That would be the one we have thru my husband's employer. Also how long did it take to get approval after submission. Thanks for all the info!

Mu UHC is the PPO type. I took 6 weeks to be approved. Good luck!

Congrats on that! I had UHC too but unfortunately they wouldn't touch it with a 10-ft pole since my employer had a wls exclusion....
