I dont understand

Hi, I was just thinking , what makes me feel restriction if I have no fill and the food is not being stopped at a pouch ? Is it just the band resting on the nerves ? Just wondered if anyone knows. I am having my first fill soon and I am deffinately not able to eat the amount of food that I did before. I also get uncomfortable if I overeat not realizing it until I get discomfort. I have no fill and my Dr says no swelling just wondering what makes me feel restricted ? Just curious

Thanks Kim:)

The band unfilled is a standard size, like a bracelet. Depending on how much fat surrounds your stomach depends on how "tight" it feels with no fill. Many people, especially those with really high bmi's, feel restriction right away. As the fat surrounding the stomach decreases and the stomach muscle naturally shrinks, then you will need more fill to have the restriction. So if it is workin' for ya, leave it be! There will be plenty of time to have it filled!

I have restriction at over 2 months out and have not had a fill. I feel restriction at every meal. I eat and then I get a full feeling and then I burp...and I know that is it!! NO more food for me. If I do eat more, I get a really heavy tight feeling in tummy that is not how I want to feel, so I don't do that very often. My fill RN is not willing to give me a fill until I stop losing weight so fast, so until then I am unfilled and restricted. Oh there is head hunger, but not real hunger problems. Good luck to you!!
