Protein Powders versus Ready-to-drink

Before I had my sleeve surgery I stocked up on Protein powder. I loved the Premier Protein shakes so I thought I would love the powder as well. Guess what? You can shake that powder up till the sun comes up and it still tastes like crappola! I bought a little personal blender, added a little bit of ice, a scoop of powder and whatever else goes with it. For chocolate powder, I add some PB2. The vanilla flavor I add a few pieces of frozen fruit, maybe a quarter of a banana, a couple of fresh strawberries and the nastiness of the powder is gone. Just thought I'd share.

I do prefer the powders to the ready to drink Protein drinks and I think you do have to experiment before finding out what works for you. Thanks for sharing!

I have used my hand held blender to good effect I have also noticed extremes of temperature make the powder tend to clump more so I try to mix with liquid fully before adding ice and I blend in the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken base flavor protien while the veggy broth is still luke-warm
