So if I'm really thirsty and drink my sips- every couple minutes- how much is too much?

Your body will tell you when it's too much. There are days that u can drink quite a bit at one time and others where a few sips are too much

I'm 21 days post. I can sip continually without getting filled. That's with nothing else in the pouch.

But small sips. Spread them out. Too much too quick and you'll feel it.

My surgeon's office materials say that Fluid moves through the pouch almost immediately, but that it's still important to pace yourself. Your body will definitely let you know if you fill it too much.

Unlike most people's surgeon, mine says that you have to stop drinking 5 mins before a meal, not thirty - likely because of how quickly fluid moves through the pouch.

It's funny how similar most rules physicians have are and some are so different. Another post had a lady a few weeks post surgery talking about eating whole wheat toast and I'm not allowed bread, rice,noodles etc until 9 months out.
