When did your surgery "kick in?"

I am exactly 6 months out from surgery (RNY). My weight loss until recently has moved along at comfortable glacial place LOL, like 1-3 pounds per week (If I was lucky) and there many weeks when I didn't loose at all. I did not feel much restriction either. I could eat an entire plate of food, no problem. My friend who had had the surgery 3-4 years ago said just wait, the weight loss is coming. I was expecting the 1st 6 months to be fast, but now I'm in a rapid weight loss pattern. I lost 6 pounds last week and 7.5 this week. Anyone experience more rapid weight loss after the 6 month mark?

Your afterburner jets are running now. :D

Seriously, though, you have your metabolism kicked into gear bigtime now.

I think your friend is right......it's coming.
