RNY Friends Needed

  • Popular Post

Hi Everyone!

I am very new to this site and have never posted a topic here either. :)

I am half-way through the process to have my WLS Surgery and could always use friends who have had the surgery or waiting like me. I haven't told any of my friends at all and am a bit lonely right now. My parents know, but they don't count. LOL. I live in the Scarborough Area and will be having surgery at Humber River Hospital probably around the middle of October - Yeah!!

Anyone out there wanna chat. :)

Had my surgery consult today. Surgery set for January 27, 2017 My clinic is backed up and right now that's the date. I tried to stress how horrible my band is (daily vomiting and pain) but they just don't seem to get it!! I can't believe they don't save surgery spots for urgent causes like mine I'm considering going to the Patient Relations department of the hospital if I don't hear anything new better then January over the next week. Just not sure what to do and thinking about waiting another 5 months like this is torture

Thank you! I'm trying to stay positive about getting a date sooner but it's hard.

He wrote me a letter that they have. My Counseller is going to call them next week for me.

That's ok. Just having someone to share with, besides my hubby, is a nice feeling. I haven't really told anyone else what's going on. I've been waiting to get my surgery date. I left a message for the program manager I've been dealing with today. And I sent an email to the nurse who saw me last week. I'm considering emailing the surgeon who saw me and ordered the band be deflated, but don't want to push to many buttons. Will wait and see if one of the ladies will get back to me first.
