I'm one week out from surgery tomorrow and I'm still having issues getting all the Protein in. I think I'm doing good with the Water intake but I know I'm not getting in enough Protein yet. But I've talked to other sleevers and they have said that they are still not getting enough and these ladies are years out. Anyhoo, I'm down 18 pounds since starting my liquid diet on August 9th so I'm really happy!

I'm in Glenn heights near cedar hill. My Dr. Is David Dyslin with Arlington Batiatrics, and it's going to be done at USMD . I'm super nervous! I'm sitting here packing my kids stuff and my own for the next 2 days! My baby has never spent the night anywhere and he will be staying with my cousin tomorrow night... I'm so sad! It'll be worth it though in the long run...

Take your own slippers to the hospital. Or even flip flops that you can slip on and off easily. Take loose fitting pants - sweats or shorts - since your tummy will still be a bit swollen when they discharge you. Toothbrush and toothpaste for sure. Chapstick for your lips. One thing I was really glad I had is Biotin Mouth Spray. One of my meds gives me dry mouth, so I had it for that. Well, I hadn't drank anything from 7am the day of the surgery, till I had my surgery at 5 pm. I wasn't allowed anything to drink all that night, or all the next day. My mouth was so dry it was almost painful! I used the Biotin mouth spray a few times that day, and it did help to sooth my dry mouth. Although, I have heard some people say that they got ice chips as soon as they woke up. For me, Ice chips came the second day after surgery. Last bit of advice is to be well hydrated before the surgery. Drink as much as you can up until they tell you to take nothing by mouth - usually about 12 hours before surgery.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
