TMI I know, but I've had like practically uncontrollable watery diarrhea all day. Is that normal or worth calling the doc about you think?

I'm still pre op but wanted to say congrats! Hope you feel better soon and get the answer to your issue.

Are you taking a stool softener? My doc has me taking Colace every day after surgery and I had the watery diarrhea as well. I stopped taking it and my bowel movements were fine.

I took one on Friday but that's all. This just started today. I wonder if it's related.

I'm so worried right now though. I hope this is normal. I can't take a drink of anything without needing to be literally on the toilet

I'd give a call to your surgeons office to be sure it's an okay response for your body to have. Maybe they will advise an anti-diarrhea med.

There is another thread on this topic... from the comments, it sounds like lots of ppl have had this.

I just got off the phone with a surgeon. They recommended I take immodium. Hubby just ran to the pharmacy and I took it. Hopefully it gets better. I'm doing so well on my liquids I don't want to get dehydrayed.

So good to hear you've got an answer. Hope you feel better soon!
