  1. So I am just a few days over my 6 months and am down 134lbs! Loving life with my new tiny tummy!
  2. Anyone have any input on their experiences trying nuts? How far post op were you when you gave them a try? Did they give you any trouble? I love nuts and a good source of Protein... but I just began eating solids and am a little leary of trying something THAT solid. Any feedback would be great!
  3. Loving my sleeve sooo much! Had surgery on June 10th and currently down 105lbs. Couldn't be happier with these results!

    Eating & morning exercise

I am having the same struggle....as @@jess9395 mentioned - my doc also considered a Protein shake drinking and not eating. I think my plan going forward is to drink Water and protein shake while on my way to the gym and at the gym.... then just take like a greek yogurt or something to work and eat it at work to get in something for breakfast. Maybe something like that would work for you as well?

    Vitamins.

I couldn't find chewables anywhere. I was told to take chewables for a month before switching to my bariatric multi Vitamin. I ended up with gummies because that was all I could find and my dietician said that was fine until I could begin my bariatric multi.
  8. I lost 26lbs during my two week pre op liquid diet and them I have dropped about 30lbs in the 4 weeks following surgery.
  9. I always advise talking to the surgeon with those types of concerns. But I can say I was terrified of vomiting post surgery.... that fear that it will damage the staple line or something like that... I had all of those things running through my mind. I was even playing it too safe with my post surgery diet out of fear. My dietician and surgeon informed me that I didn't need to be so fearful of it - vomiting will not hurt the sleeve. I hope this provides some reassurance! I have read some posts from other who mentioned they vomit it all of the time. Right after I was brought out from anesthesia I had a huge rush of nausea and panicked and they hit me up with some morphine - problem solved

    Plantar Fasciitis

I had plantar fasciitis, not quite to the extent you are explaining. It began when I started gaining weight rapidly. I'd put my feet on the floor and limp to the bathroom in the morning. Then they would hurt all day and I couldn't wait to get home and get off of them. I started my pre op liquid diet and lost 26lbs; at one point I realized my feet weren't hurting nearly as badly eat day and then it had gone completely away by the time of my surgery (two weeks!). I am 55lbs down now and have no pain at all. What a relief! I hope you get some relief as well as you begin losing the weight!

    Bored

The sugar free popsicles were a life saver to me... at least gave me the illusion I was eating something!

    New to the site.

Welcome to the forum! Wishing you smooth and successful journey to a healthy new you!
  13. How frustrating! I can only imagine how disappointing that will be. Sending thoughts your way that the biopsy comes back clear and that you are quickly put back on track for your surgery!
  14. Yeah, it starts to get a bit confusing. I thought my plan was more lenient than most - moving to soft foods at week two while I saw others stuck on a liquid diet for a month post surgery. It's kinda crazy!
  15. Wow! What tremendous success! Congrats! That must be incredibly motivating! I have just started this journey but had lost 80lbs on my own before and gained it back plus some :/ But during that time, I felt addicted to it... like every day I was ready to beat what I did the day before and felt compelled to get to the gym and eat right because I just couldn't wait to see even better results. It is certainly better than being addicted to food and television.... more beneficial to our health, anyway! Again, congrats on your amazing results!!

    What does it feel like?

I am like you, not having many issues with any foods. I did have an issue with oatmeal early on - made me very nauseated. I had it two weeks out on my soft foods, it was on my list but it just didn't work at on. Won't be trying it again for a while!

    Hopeless

I asked my Dietician about eating back calories as I never do but seems to be a big debate on places like myfitnesspal - she told me not eating them.back was the way to go.
  18. I can't stand vomiting so that was one of my goals to avoid it lol so for me, I consider it a small victory But my dietician didn't want me to be so careful that I am not "trying" things.

    Surgery day question

I didn't have one. Though after surgery they told me I needed to pee a certain amount or they would need to give me one. Thankfully peeing was not a problem! They also made me go right before they started surgery.

Cigna Denied ... peer to peer?

A peer to peer is your doctor talking directly to the insurance medical director. I was denied and my surgeon was able to get the decision over turned by talking with the insurance company.

    Wor wonton soup

I had wonton soup in my clear liquid phase.... but without eating the wontons, of course.

    Newbie here... Um Hi! :)

    Welcome to the forum!
  24. Welcome to the forum! Wishing you a wonderful journey!
  25. I had this problem as well... not knowing what full feels like! My dietician asked me if I stop when I'm full and I said I don't know what it feels like anymore! I mentioned that I stop as soon as I feel any little bit of reaction from my stomach. She said that's perfect. I am about 5 wks out and I feel like i am not eating enough but full is coming a little clearer to me. With this method, I have managed to not puke even once post op. So happy about that!
