"I fit into it!" Clothing milestone!

Recommended Posts

I am a thrifty person. Over 20 years ago, I bought a nice suit, an expensive suit, for $5 at a big and tall men's store on their last day of business. It was 6 sizes too small and there was no way I would ever fit into it, but I figured hey, for 5 bucks, I can store it in case I ever lost a bunch of weight. I kept it all these years and this morning, with almost 70# gone, dusted it off and tried it on, it fit! In a twist of fashion fate, it is of a style that had gone out of fashion, but now is back in fashion, looks right in style. Woo-hoo!

I have a top that I bought on holidays in Greece over 10 years ago that I never wore because it never fit. I need to dig it out of my storage unit and try that sucker on!!!

Congratulations! Better start practicing your dance moves.....

There are a few things I gave away years ago that I'd love to have back now. I'm starting over with shopping -- so happy when I find something at a thrift store.

Have a wonderful time at your daughter's wedding! Lots to Celebrate, including your health.

Today was a really tough day and I turned to food (and a watered down glass of wine). The interesting part was that I felt REALLY full after eating half my go to cheat snack, tortilla chips with cheese. So the GBP is doing its job!

The only way I can tell that I'm losing weight is from the scale and my clothes "getting bigger".

I can now buy clothes in normal stores again. Admittedly the first time when I started trying on clothes, I really had to keep myself calm. Normally trying on clothes causes me to become SOOO depressed that it take weeks just to get over it. Now, I have to keep myself from not wanting to buy everything!
