What is the pain that I am feeling on my left side?

I had gastric sleeve on Monday and am still having a great deal of pain on my left side even with meds. Can anyone tell me what that might be? I am thinking it is where they cut the part of my stomach off. I also have a lot of bloating from the air but trying to walk to get rid of it. So excited to find this community to learn and share with.

I also had pain on my left side after surgery. It was sharp jabbing pain I was told that it was scar tissue pain from some previous surgeries. It did go away after a few days but was very painful.

I had the same sharp pains....no prior surgeries. ..Dr said it's due to that's the primary side they do the work on...for RNY and sleeve patients. I'm 16 days post op and its just now starting to be non existent. ...but there was pain ANYTIME I moved.

I was sleeved on the 15th of this month and am always having pain :( I hope it goes away soon... it's kind of hard to walk straight with these stomach pains.

Thanks for the replies. That makes sense that the major work was done on that side. After reading the forum I have noticed a lot of people saying it took a good month before that pain was gone.
