Going to Mexico !

  • Popular Post

My insurance will not cover me.

Weight loss surgery is an exclusion.

The private pay here in Jacksonville is $15,000.

It is $3899 with BariatricPals.com in Mexico.

So, I am going to Mexico.

Surgery date is 8/10/2015 with Dr. "A"

I used Tijuana bariatrics. And they did respond via email when I let them know I was admitted for pancreatitis. The problem was that they recommended to have some tests done to make sure there were no gall stones and no leaks. But the dr here canceled all of my tests and told me to follow up with the Drs in Mexico. Eventually after threatening lawyers and complaining they did check for gall stones and found none. But I never was checked for leaks before I left because I didn't have any abdominal pain and I could tolerate food before I left. They have me fluids while there but they fed me the whole time so if NPO is treatment of pancreatitis then they didn't do a good job treating me. Lol.

I wonder how doctors get away with that. What are your legal options? Hope you are doing better.

That is weird. I had a PICC line and TPN for a week. That's when diabetes raised its ugly head also.
