Recommended Posts

I have lately been missing food I used to eat and was really tired of Protein Drinks, ff cottage cheese, Greek plain yogurt, poached eggs and ricotta low fat cheese. So today I made a bowl of dip and had with healthy chips. Yum. The dip was a can of ff refried Beans, ff sour cream and spicy salsa

The chips (suggested by dr oz as high in protein) I found at health food store. They are popped black bean crisps, wheat free, gluten free, reduced fat low sodium. This was such a treat and it did not take much to satisfy me. I will have more for several days. I may add chopped avacodo one day or a chopped low fat cheese stick and chopped fresh tomatoes.

Any one else have problems eating lots of different foods? They don't stay down & it doesn't matter what it is, like eggs, veggie's & salads.

It's hit or miss for me...one day I can eat almost anything then the next week I can only eat my ground beef taco no shell.... it's weird and I have been banded 6+ years!

Today my daughter took me to Breakfast...I ended up eating just enough before the hiccups set in!

1 cup decaff coffee (yes with real cream and 1 sugar)

two bites of a pancake (not that great...not a fan of pancakes anyway)

2 strips of bacon

1/2 cup of scrambled egg

Lunch: one skinny vanilla iced coffee from Wendy's

Snack/early dinner:

mixed green salad with lite dressing, cucumber and yellow peppers

1/2 cup cottage cheese.

I probably won't eat much later on tonight...it's hot here and we're going out to a show.

(I'll try to behave and maybe I'll pick at something)

Breakfast: 1 egg omelet w/red peppers, salt free seasoning and nutritional yeast

Snack: handful of almonds

Lunch: Tossed salad w/ about 2TBS shredded cheese, little bit of lean turkey lunchmeat, 2TBS ranch dressing. (my splurge)

1/4 Cup cottage cheese 1% fat.

Snack: Either almonds, or I brought some leftover brussel sprouts--not sure which I'll have yet.

Dinner: Not positive yet what, but typically a lean meat and veggie

Snack: I'd like to say I'm not going to touch the butter brickle icecream in the freezer, BUT...I may.

Water: 72oz just about done. Will have at least another 40 yet today.

Will have a Protein shake and BCAA's after my workout today.

I should note---I have NOT journaled in a VERY long time! I'm glad I came across this post today. (thanks to the newsletter I received reminding us how important journaling is.)

I also have gained back almost 30 of the 85 pounds I had lost with my band. Some of that was due to a med I had to use for RA, but part of it was lazyness after getting into a new relationship after my divorce---exercise went on the back burner cuz I was "too in love" to not be with him for an hour and a half a day.☺ But I've been working with a nutritionist to get my metabolism working again, getting back into working out and my honey is gonna start going to the gym with me!☺

Hey y'all! I just got banded on 7/12/07 and am in the pureed foods stage. i'm so excited! I just figured out that I can eat refried beans! They have fat free refried beans! YUMMY!

So today I have eaten:

Breakfast : scrambled egg

lunch: 2 spoonfuls of refried Beans with a little pepper jack cheese!

dinner: TBD

Love ff refried Beans and add a lil low fat shredded cheese and low fat sour cream on them! So far it is my fav meal. I also substitute the sour cream for ff cream cheese and heat it up all together, it is delish!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
